Mizuko Kuyo Ceremony for Loss

with Sensei Robert Chodo Campbell and Eishin Alex Beth Schapiro

Sunday, June 27th, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm ET

Mizuko Kuyo is a Buddhist ceremony to acknowledge the loss of those who have experienced a miscarriage, a stillbirth, or an abortion. The ceremony is also inclusive of those who have experienced the loss of a child in the first years of life.

This year the ceremony will be held online. Before the ceremony we will spend time together making memorial origami cranes to share our experiences of loss in community. (No experience of origami necessary).

All are welcome. No one is turned away for lack of funds. If you require financial assistance, please contact Eishin Alex Beth Schapiro at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
